A: Car accidents are terrifying events that can happen at any time and in any place. Even though you might be scared and confused, make sure you perform the following actions:
  • Check to see if you or any passengers are hurt and call 911. 
  • If you can, move your car to a safe nearby location. If not, leave the vehicle and get yourself to safety. 
  • Call the police.
  • Report an insurance claim through your provider. 
Q. What is a car insurance deductible?

A: A deductible is the amount of money a policy owner must pay out-of-pocket in order to have his or her car repaired. The amount of your deductible depends on your policy. The higher your deductible, the lower your monthly premiums are. For example: if your deductible is $1,000, you’ll have to pay that first thousand before your insurance provider will pay for the remaining cost of the accident.
